Members of the PCSA Kent Committee met on 30 January at Kent and Canterbury Hospital with Mr Milan Thomas (Head of Urology), Professor Sashi Kommu (Consultant Pelvic Urological Surgeon and Professor of Urology) and Nick Gardner from Procept/Aquablation company.
We were hearing about the benefits of the Aquablation machine. When used to treat prostate cancer a man leaves hospital without a catheter, do not suffer incontinence, erectile dysfunction and can maintain his ejaculatory function. The machine costs £350K and the Association is undertaking to raise £150K.
