Meetings

If you have recently been diagnosed or have had a recurrence of prostate cancer, you may find talking to someone who has been through a similar experience extremely helpful.

No matter how much information you may receive from the hospital our members have found it is helpful to talk to members who have made the journey themselves. All our members have personal experience of prostate cancer and are happy to talk to other men/partners about the impact of their own diagnosis and subsequent treatment experience. As an association, we have patient experience of most forms of prostate cancer treatment.

Our monthly meetings are always on the last Wednesday of every month and currently take place at The Old Gate Inn, 162-164 New Dover Rd, Canterbury CT1 3EL (check for directions on Google maps). This is immediately next to the New Dover Road Park and Ride. The inn itself has plenty of free parking. Simply log your registration number at the desk as you enter the building. We do not meet in December. The coffee is great!!

Meetings are relaxed and informal occasions where members can share thoughts, experiences, and suggestions, perhaps with the whole group or simply in one-to-one conversation over coffee. Regular talks from clinicians and others help ensure we remain well informed about developments in treatment etc.

The association also organises social events for members, family and friends. Past activities have included cream teas, Christmas dinners, archery and croquet.
